ROLE BRIEFING
We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator join our team at BU Wellness Network on a contract basis. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating original text and video content that is intended to improve overall engagement with Black same-gender loving men.
In this role, you must also be comfortable with the creation and adaptation of written content for specific social media networks on and offline. You will manage our organization’s image in a cohesive way to communicate our mission and vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and
news) - Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
- Collaborate with other departments, like development, ensure brand consistency
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer
reviews - • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and
applications
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Content Creator
- Hands on experience in content management
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Knowledge of online marketing channels
- Familiarity with creating tailored marketing/content
- Familiarity with web design
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field preferred
